Sometimes, you get just what you need exactly when you need it – like a parking spot near the entrance to Costco when it’s pouring down rain, or an e-mail at 4:55 p.m. extending your midnight grant deadline. Or, if you’re really fortunate, a $400,000 grant from Resource Rural.
We are excited and proud to share that PRWA has been selected by Resource Rural as one of its Local Resource Partners. As such, we will receive a $400,000 grant over two years for general operating support and become part of their Local Resource Partner network. Staci, Kathy, and I are in Cottonwood, Arizona, attending a gathering of these partners – sharing best practices, strategizing, developing relationships and coming up with new ideas on how to be of service to rural Washington communities.
So as I close tonight from my room at the wonderful Tavern Hotel, I offer my deepest gratitude to the folks at Resource Rural for putting their faith in, and their funds behind, PRWA and its work with the Northwest Rural Investment Strategy. We are indeed fortunate.
