At its core PRWA is a partnership involving a strong, committed Board and a broad range of active partners and champions representing all key stakeholders interested in the vitality of rural WA communities.

PRWA regularly assesses its processes and products to ensure relevancy to the needs of our rural communities, reaches out to to learn from others, shares knowledge with its colleagues in OR and ID, and successfully communicates its value to state interests. 

Idaho Rural Partnership

  • Concentrates resources on its Community Review Program, offering 3-day assessments to Idaho's rural communities.
  • Completed a meta-analysis of the Community Review surveys, summarizing the strengths and challenges that residents identify in their areas.
  • Joins diverse public and private resources in innovative collaborations to strengthen communities and improve life in rural Idaho.

Oregon Rural Development Council

  • Has conducted forums in every county as well as the Oregon Rural Policy Forum which led to development of Oregon's first long range strategy for water resources.
  • Helps rural communities address their unique needs, enhance community resilience and vitality and leverage resources through partnership building.
  • Creates strategies to reduce duplication and conflicting administrative processes, build capacity and reduce barriers.
  • Conducts and/or supports annual events such as Rural Oregon Day, Western Regional Summits and Regards to Rural Conference.
